Massimiliano Allegri has warned midfielder Paul Pogba and striker Carlos Tevez he only wants them to stay at Juventus if they are committed to the club.

France international Pogba is widely regarded as one of the most promising midfielders of his generation and the 22-year-old has been linked with big-money moves to Treble winners Barcelona and La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

Allegri says it will be difficult for Champions League finalists Juve to turn down some of the figures mentioned for Pogba and only wants the former Manchester United starlet to stay in Turin if he is prepared to help move the club forward.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Obviously this is a club decision but certainly it’s hard to say no to some figures.

“If Paul remains in Turin, he must do so with the right attitude and without regret, because what we’ve achieved this season is only a starting point.

“To build the future of Juve, we need young motivated players who show the right spirit.”

Tevez scored 20 goals in Serie A last season as Juve won a fourth consecutive Scudetto and has been linked with a return to his native Argentina to join Boca Juniors, while Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says it will be difficult for his club to try and unite the 31-year-old with countryman and coach, Diego Simeone, at the Vicente Calderon.

Allegri added: “It is his choice. But I repeat that whoever stays must know that the work for next season will be even more intense.
“I do not want people staying to contemplate their achievements.”

When asked about his summer transfer plans and whether Chelsea midfielder Oscar was a target, Allegri said: “I like Oscar very much, he is one of those who can make a difference even in Europe.

“I like Oscar, but I also like Isco, Javier Pastore, Angel di Maria, Toni Kroos – all the best players from the Champions League.”

Tevez’s Argentina are currently priced 1.50 in the Copa America Group B winner betting and 2.80 to win the showpiece tournament in Chile.
