Marseille and Monaco are set to battle for Anthony Martial’s signature in the summer.
Both Ligue 1 clubs want to offer the French striker a return to France in the summer.
But it’s yet to be revealed if Martial might be set to return to his homeland as his time at Manchester United appears to be drawing to an end.
The Sun reported that Martial is set to be offered the chance to return home to France when his Manchester United contract expires this summer, as his former clubs Monaco and Marseille are among those showing interest in his service.
The 28-year-old forward, who has not been lucky with injuries, is currently out injured and seems not to be in United plan.
Martial began his career with the principality club before United signed him.
The much-maligned attacker has not played for the Red Devils since December 9 and has been ruled out of action for up to 10 weeks with a groin injury.
The current development from Old Trafford is that it has already been decided that Martial and United will not negotiate a new deal, despite comments by Erik ten Hag that talks were ongoing.
Many expected him to leave during the winter window, but news of his injury soon put paid to these reports.
Despite being on the treatment table, the 28-year-old attacker, who has been at United since 2015, has many çlubs linked to him, with no deal ever materializing.
Saudi Arabian team, Al-Ettifaq, could have made a move for the Frenchman in January, but no such deal occurred, probably due to his latest setback.
It was also reported that Inter Milan was also linked to the forgotten striker.
The other rumour was that Martial’s agent had made a trip to Turkey to sort out a winter deal with one of the Istanbul giants, Fenerbahce or Galatasaray, but no move materialized.
