Louis van Gaal believes Leicester winning the title would be good for the Premier League but he says Manchester United cannot allow it happen at Old Trafford.

The Foxes are at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday afternoon, where three points would guarantee them the title with two games left to play.

Man United however, are in need of the points themselves as they continue to fight for a place in the top four.

Van Gaal says he will be happy to see Leicester win the league, just not this week. “We cannot allow them to become champions at Old Trafford. I think that they shall be champions a week later, so we won’t spoil their party, just postpone it a little,” said the Dutchman.

Claudio Ranieri’s team have stunned just about everyone in their quest to win the Premier League this season, a year after Leicester were almost relegated under Nigel Pearson.

Van Gaal says that if Leicester finish the job off it will be good for football, although he also feels a lack of injuries and the absence of European football has been a big advantage to the champions-elect.

“They [Leicester] had the circumstances to play always with the same team and didn’t play as many matches as the other teams in the Premier League, so it’s possible, always possible,”

Van Gaal said. “I think it’s good for the Premier League and for football that not always the same teams are champions.”

Leicester are 3.75 to complete their fairytale title win at Old Trafford with a win. Man United are 2.05 to win while the draw is 3.30.
