Liverpool continued to add depth to their squad after they confirmed the signing of Sevilla forward Luis Alberto.
Brendan Rodgers has wasted no time in drafting in further reinforcements for the Anfield club as he prepares to get underway for his second term at the helm.
Alberto will become the second addition of the close season for the Reds, defender KoloToure agreed terms after his contract with Manchester City was not renewed.
The 20-year-old spent last term out on loan in Segunda division with Barcelona B, where he scored 11 goals and collected 17 assists in 38 appearances.
Rodgers is also eager to finalise contracts for CeltaVigo frontman IagoAspas, who has agreed a move in principle,and Sunderland stopper Simon Mignolet, who is expected to meet with club officials on Monday to rubberstamp a £9million switch.
Rodgers said: “We are all delighted that Luis has decided to join Liverpool. He has the correct footballing profile and mentality to be a Liverpool player.
“I look forward to working with him to develop his talent and he joins a group of young exciting players at our club.”
As well as hoping to complete deals for Aspas and Mignolet, Rodgers remains very keen on Shakhtar Donetsk star HenrikhMkhitaryan and Sporting Lisbon defender ThiagoLlori as his summer rebuilding gathers pace.
