Celtic midfielder Kris Commons insists manager Neil Lennon is eager to assert the club’s dominance again next term.

Commons played a key role in the club’s successful campaign, since joining from Derby from 2011 he has gone on to establish himself as a mainstay in the SPL side.

Parkhead was rocking by the end of the season after Lennon took full advantage of a weakened division – since the demise of Rangers who entered administration – by running away with the league title, finishing 16 points ahead of nearest rivals Motherwell.

The Hoops also added the Scottish Cup to their trophy cabinet, beating Hibernian 3-0 in the final with Hooper grabbing a brace at Hampden.

The 29-year-old believes that it would be easy for Lennon to get complacent and lose that desire to win but revealed he is always aiming to go one better.

Hooper said: “We will all be sitting down within the next week or so and discussing how we can at least emulate the last campaign or do better.

“You can be sure he will want us to win the Treble and, at least, get into the last 16 of the Champions League.

“He demands that we improve every year and will not let us stand still.”
