Real Madrid targets Mbappe for next summer

La Liga club, Real Madrid has decided to move their interest in getting French forward Kylian Mbappe from January to the summer of 2022.

The forward recently scored five goals in two FIFA World Cup qualifiers for France in the just concluded international break including four goals in France’s 8-0 win over Kazakhstan.

Mbappe will be out of contract in the summer and has since been on the radar of La Liga club Real Madrid which he only failed to join this summer due to PSG’s reluctance to sell.

The Los Blancos hope to get the man on a free transfer when his contract expires in June instead of getting him January when the transfer window opens on the new year day.

Despite having an offer close to 200 Million pounds rejected by PSG in the summer, Real Madrid are confident of getting Mbappe as they see him as one of the main face of the future project at the Santiago Bernabeau.

Real Madrid have been led from the front by Karim benzema and Vinicius junior with the Brazilian youngster improving on his scoring statistics from last season.

Mbappe’s imminent acquisition means himself and fellow French forward Benzema and Brazilian youngster Vinicius jnr will lead Real Madrid attack for the next years as the Los Blancos continue to rebuild.

The former Monaco forward has six goals and six assists in 12 games in the French Ligue 1 this season for the PSG while he had five goals in six games for the Les Blues in the World Cup qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema who also scored three goals in France’s last two qualifiers has been in hot form in the La Liga with ten goals in eleven games including seven assists in the bag.

Real Madrid are second on the La Liga table behind Real Sociedad.
