Paris Sainte-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé has refused to enter talks with representatives of the Saudi Arabian club, Al-Hilal.

This is according to L’Équipe, after the star striker has been the subject of a world-record offer worth €300m from the Saudi club.

He rejected talks after w delegation of the Gulf state team got to the French capital on Wednesday.

The club was set to complete the signing of Brazilian winger Malcom from Zenith, having agreed on a personal term. They hoped to make the most of the trip by meeting with the France captain.

Now that the 24-year-old and his entourage have turned down the prospect of meeting with the Saudi outfit.

Having said they are not ready to let their prize asset leave as a free agent next summer. PSG is desperate to sell the 24-year-old.

This made authorized Al-Hilal enter talks with the forward after a record bid.

Since the World Cup winner is showing no signs of triggering the one-year extension clause in his contract, which expires at the end of the current month, the other option PSG has is to get a loan fee from a club interested in having him on loan.

The contract controversy hav3 made the Ligue 1 champions sideline Mbappé from Luis Enrique’s main squad to sell him this summer should he refuse to extend.

Since the Frenchman has publicly declared his intention to stay in Paris for the upcoming campaign, the next level of action is yet to be known by the club.

PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has quashed rumors of a move for Mbappé in a related development.

RMC had, over the weekend, linked Chelsea with a move for the striker, but L’Équipe on Tuesday reported that Chelsea, and Manchester United, had dropped out of the race.

Reacting to the issue during a press conference, Pochettino distanced Chelsea from such a move.

Mbappe had worked with the Argentinian manager during his time with Les Parisiens.

He said what all the journalists are saying is too much noise.
