Despite rumors, Goalkeeper Pepe Reina claims his heart still belongs to Liverpool.

To stay or not to stay?

That is the dilemma that Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina is facing right now.

He said on Wednesday that it is hard to refuse a move to Barcelona but on the other hand, he remains contented playing for the Reds.

The 30-year-old shot stopper has been rumoured to be on the wanted list of Barca as Victor Valdes is said to be nearing a transfer to AS Monaco this summer.

During a press conference to reveal his new website, Reina told his audience there had been no official approach from the La Liga champions, although he confessed it would be tough to turn them down.

“Barcelona is a great club and it is difficult to say no to a club like Barcelona,” he said. “But we are talking about assumptions and I should not do it. It would be difficult leave Liverpool. If I do it, [it] is [to] improve and grow as player.”

He added: “I have no evidence about Barcelona’s interest in me. I don’t know if the club has spoken with my agent. If he doesn’t say something it is because there isn’t any serious offer on the table. I have a contract with Liverpool and I’m very happy in England. At present, I just have one option: stay at Liverpool. Everything else is just talk. There has been no direct contact.”

Reina, who launched his career at Camp Nou, has been playing for the Anfield club since 2005.
