Reports have emanated from Italy that Inter Milan is preparing a bid for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.
The 22-year-old announced himself to the soccer world with a captivating performance last season during his loan spell with Reims, bagging over 20 goals in the French Ligue 1.

The performance of the left-footer has caught the eyes of top clubs that are juggling for his signature.
After insisting he wants to play regular football and won’t go for another loan, Inter have seen him as an alternative to Romelu Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri currently have World Cup winner, Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine striker partnered upfront with Lukaku last season.

Since Balogun is also left-footed, he would be a direct replacement for lanky Belgium and could compete for the number 9 role with Martinez in a situation where the tactics don’t require two of them together.

Meanwhile, some other reports said Inter coach Simone Inzaghi made Alvaro Morata his priority target for 2023-24, but club directors are more inclined to sign the American striker.

The Sunday editions of Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport reported that the Nerazurri are ready to make their opening offer for the 22-year-old.

CorSport report that Inter could offer €35m for the Spaniard while Tuttosport might sign in on an initial loan deal of €5m with an option to buy for €35m in 2024.

Balogun didn’t play against Manchester in the pre-season friendly on Sunday. In an interview with AFTV, he said he wants to play regular football.

In an initial interview, he also said he is not going on another loan.

So, the discussion is expected to hold with Arsenal on his future at the club before the transfer window shuts.
He is currently behind Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah in the pecking order at the Emirates, and it might be hard to get enough playing time that could convince the manager.
