Former Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has stated Manchester United’s striker Cristiano Ronaldo’s legs are looking tired and believes age has finally caught up with the star player. Ronaldo recently turned 37 back in February but he hasn’t been in good form in the recent past.

The talismanic striker has scored only once in the last 10 matches across all competitions for Manchester United as he has failed to deliver the goods. Ronaldo has hardly gone through such a rough patch through his glorious career and he would be willing to bounce back stronger.

Gabby Agbonlahor said while talking to Football Insider, “For a lot of Man United fans, it will be painful watching Ronaldo at the moment. He’s 37; he’s outdone most footballers by five or six years, but you can’t hide from ageing. Age catches up with everyone, and it looks like it has caught up with Ronaldo.”

“His legs look tired; he doesn’t look as quick and sharp getting round players. He’s also not a presser from the front either. With all those things, it doesn’t make sense for him to keep starting.”

He added: “But who else have they got? They’ve not got many other options in there. Unless they play Rashford as a striker or a false nine. It’s a big worry for Man United if they have Ronaldo and Cavani as the options up there for next season.”

Ronaldo last scored in a 2-0 win over Brighton in February and since then he has failed to find the back of the net. CR7 will aim to bounce back stronger in the upcoming matches and he is going to be vital for Manchester United.

Manchester United was held to a 0-0 draw against Watford and they would aim to bounce back stronger. The Red Devils will have their work cut as they will face Manchester City on Saturday.
