Leicester star Riyad Mahrez is convinced there is further success to come for his side after claiming the Premier League title last season.
Leicester are 41.00 to win the Premier League outright for a second successive campaign, while Manchester City are priced at 3.00. Mahrez was the subject of transfer speculation throughout the summer with Arsenal, who Leicester host on Saturday, considered the side most likely to tempt the Algerian away from the King Power Stadium.
The winger agreed a new four-year deal with the Foxes earlier this week to put an end to any rumours he could be on the move before the transfer window closes.
Mahrez has now revealed his delight at agreeing fresh terms with Leicester and he is confident that they can impress again in the season ahead.
“I’m happy to continue the adventure with Leicester City,” he told Leicester’s official TV channel. “It’s been a pleasure to be here so I’m going to keep going.
“Last season, we achieved the best thing we could in England. We’ve had an amazing season and it was important to keep the players, and the same spirit.
“Our football is a lot of energy, so if we keep all the players, all the mentality, I think we can do some good things this year as well.
“I’m very happy to be here and the club are happy as well.”
Leicester slumped to a surprise defeat at newly-promoted Hull City last weekend and will be eager to bounce back against the Gunners on Saturday in the late Premier League kick off.
A win for the Foxes is 2.88 and Mahrez is 7.50 to open the scoring.
