Riyad Mahrez believes Leicester have the quality to go all the way in the FA Cup this season.

The Foxes will play host to Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the competition on Sunday having already seen off the likes of Fleetwood, Peterborough and Sheffield United en route to the last eight.

The 2016 Premier League champions have never won the FA Cup, although they have reached the final on four previous occasions and Mahrez believes they have a real chance of winning the tournament this year and, if they achieve that feat, then they will also secure a place in next season’s Europa League.

“We have the quarter-final of the FA Cup and it will be very important for us to keep going in this competition because it’s Europe as well.

For the Club, that’s very good, so we will see next week,” Mahrez told the club website.

It is not just the FA Cup where Leicester still have a lot to play for this season, as they currently sit eighth in the Premier League standings and Mahrez believes they have an outside chance of securing a top-six finish come the end of the campaign.

“It could be [a successful end to the season] because we still have eight games to go, we can still finish seventh, maybe sixth, we never know,” he added.

Leicester are priced at 2.30 to see off Chelsea on Sunday and book their place in the FA Cup semi-finals, while the Blues are available at 1.57 to reach the last four.
