Everton boss Ronald Koeman is lining up a summer bid for Stoke’s Marko Arnautovic ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Reports in the Austrian media suggest the Austria international could be on his way out of the club with Koeman desperate to bring him to Goodison Park.

He is currently enjoying a short break following Euro 2016, but Everton are ready to meet the £12.5million release clause in his contract.

Arnautovic only has a year left on his current deal at the Britannia Stadium and the Toffees are hoping they can lure him to Merseyside as they look to improve on their 11th-placed finish this year.

The club’s new owners are willing to splash the cash to give Koeman the squad he wants and the Dutchman has seemingly put Arnautovic at the top of his wishlist.

The 27-year-old has failed to agree a new contract with the Potters and boss Mark Hughes has already added Egypt winger Ramadan Sobhi and midfielder Joe Allen to the squad in the last 48 hours.

Arnautovic could become Koeman#s first major signing since he left Southampton at the end of last season and he will be hoping to continue his form from last year.

He has scored 16 goals for Stoke in 93 games, with 12 of them coming last year in a remarkable campaign.

The powerful forward will be hoping to fire Everton to glory if he completes his move and the Toffees are priced at 11.00 to finish in the top four under Koeman.
