Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has revealed that he is going to take the UEFA Europa League seriously and intends to win the group and avoid finishing second as well as winning all their group stage games.

Manchester United is in Group B alongside Spanish side Real Sociedad, Moldovan club side Sheriff Tiraspol and Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia.
Real Sociedad is at the top of the table with nine points after three wins from three games. Manchester United is in second with six points after beating Thursday’s opponents in the first leg last week and another win against Sheriff Tiraspol.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag has stated that the remaining games are important as every other game that the team will play.

“I told the players weeks ago that it was important to win the group before the break. We want to win all the games, but it’s clear we want to avoid that [finishing second in the group]. All out for the victory, the first game is the most important. It’s Europe; it’s tough, we want to be No.1 in the group.” Ten Hag said.
Manchester United have won four of their last six games, losing two others, one of their two losses came in the 1-0 defeat at home to Real Sociedad in their first Europa League game, although they have managed to bounce back with victories against Sheriff Tiraspol and Omonia Nicosia.

The second defeat was in the Premier League in a 6-3 bashing in the hands of City rivals Manchester City.

The Red Devils have certain injury problems with Harry Maguire out, as well as french forward Anthony Martial.

Meanwhile, fellow Premier League side Arsenal travel to Norway to face Bodo/Glimt, the Gunners defeated the Norwegians last week 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
