Danny Graham admits Saturday’s 2-1 win at Derby has given his Blackburn side huge confidence.

The Lancashire outfit have struggled so far this season but showed good spirit in coming from behind to win at the iPro.

Graham came off the bench to score the winner against the Rams, a team he failed to find the net for during a loan spell a decade ago.

His goal gave his side back-to-back Championship victories following the previous weekend’s triumph over Rotherham and they are now up to 20th in the standings ahead of Tuesday’s visit of Sheffield Wednesday to Ewood Park.

Rovers are 3.30 to take the points, with Wednesday the 2.20 favourites and the draw priced at 3.40.

A win over the promotion-chasing Owls would only further boost the confidence levels in the dressing room and give boss Owen Coyle some further breathing space following a tough start to life in the role.

Graham admits coming from behind to win has given his side plenty of belief. However, he insists they must stay in the moment and is focused on making sure the squad keep pushing for results in order to repay the faith shown in them by the fans.

“It’s great to get back-to-back (league) wins,” Graham is quoted as saying by the Derby Telegraph.

“We’ve had a poor start to the season, we know that. “But to get the three points after going a goal behind gives us massive confidence.”

He added: “We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but everyone is bouncing around the changing room now. We know we’ve let the fans down. Hopefully, now we can start repaying them.”
