Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he would like to stay at the club for the next ten years after helping his side beat Osasuna 5-2 on Saturday.

The former Manchester United star had missed the club’s first game of the season last week as manager Zinedine Zidane continued to rest him following his Euro 2016 exploits.

Ronaldo was given the nod from the start against Osasuna and he wasted no time in making an impact, scoring inside the first six minutes.

Although he failed to find the net again, the Portugal international played a key role in his side’s win as they went to the top of the La Liga table.

The 31-year-old was linked with a return to the Red Devils in the summer but he insists he wants to stay put for the rest of his career.

He told reporters: “You would have to talk with the president. Things are going well. “The media have written it already, you know more than me.

If I were the Madrid president, I would give me 10 more years. “I want to win all possible trophies and would love to win La Liga.

It is a title that we will be going after and the team are looking good and solid.

“We’ve started well and I hope we can continue to do well. It is a long competition, but I am convinced we will win this year.”

Real Madrid will now turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League this week and they can be backed at odds of 6.00 to win the competition with Dafabet.
