Argentina will meet Chile in the Copa America final after beating Paraguay 6-1 in a one-sided semi-final on Tuesday.

La Albiceleste, who are 1.53 to win the tournament outright, looked formidable as they blew away Paraguay with an impressive attacking display that saw Manchester United star Angel di Maria bag a brace.

Di Maria’s United team-mate Marcus Rojo got the opening goal of the game, while Javier Pastore, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain also got their names on the scoresheet.

Barrios Caceres did bag a goal for the underdogs but ultimately it proved to be nothing more than a consolation goal for Paraguay, who had managed to draw 2-2 when the sides met in the group stage of the competition last month.

Following a wasteful performance against Colombia in the quarter-finals, which saw Argentina eventually go through on penalties, they were far more clinical against the helpless Paraguayans.

Argentina star Lionel Messi and co are now one step away from securing their first Copa America title since 1993 but Chile, who are 2.50 to win the tournament, still stand in their way.

Chile booked their place in the final, for the first time in 28 years, with a 2-1 victory over Peru in Santiago.

A brace from former QPR striker Eduardo Vargas was enough to fire them into the showpiece event but they will need top performances from all their individual stars to cause an upset against the high-flying Argentines on Saturday.
