Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has urged his team mates to try and put on a show and end on a ‘good note’ in their final league game of the season against Cardiff.

The Blues head in to Sunday’s game knowing that the highest finish they can secure is second spot – if they pick up a victory at the Cardiff City Stadium and Liverpool lose against Newcastle.

Manchester City remain favourites to claim the crown for the second time in three seasons, having moved two points clear of Liverpool and with a much superior goal difference.

Despite the title being out of their reach Hazard insists that it is still important to try and end the campaign positively and give the fans something to look forward to for the next term.

Hazard said: “It’s the last game at home for them and they will want to win it for their fans. For us it’s the same. We want to win for our fans and we want to end the season on a good note.”

The Belgium international is fully expected to play a huge role for his nation at the upcoming World Cup finals in Brazil and admits that he can start thinking about the competition following Sunday’s game.

He continued: “I want to finish the season with three points with Chelsea and then I can start thinking about the World Cup.”

Boss Jose Mourinho is expected to restore the 23-year-old to the starting line-up for the trip to Wales after he was forced to make an appearance off the bench last time out against Norwich.
