As the drop back into the Championship stares in the face of the Canaries, manager of Norwich City, Daniel Farke, has stated that the team needs to step up starting from the game against Leicester if the Carrow Road Side is to beat the drop.
The Canaries will welcome the Foxes, who are one of the top four of the table teams (3rd) on Friday to the Carrow Road with a hope to get a result most especially with Leicester City’s poor run of form recently.
Brendan Rodgers’ side hasn’t won a game in their last four English Premier League games with their last win coming in a 4-1 thrashing of West Ham on the 25th of January.
Since then, they have drawn two and lost two, including a 2-2 draw at home to Chelsea and a 0-0 away to Wolves while their two losses were a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa and Weekend’s loss to Manchester City.
Norwich City, with seven points away from safety, are also similarly unimpressive with their last four games resulting in 3 losses and a single draw.
They have been rooted to the bottom of the English Premier League table with just 18 points from 27 games and, as such has just 11 games left to adjust and get results to salvage their season.
The German coach stated that his players have the ability and the capability to create chances and score goals, but they still need to step up individually.
He also said further that it’s not possible to inject new players into the team and that if survival must be achieved, it must start from the Friday game at the Carrow with the players giving more and stepping up.
Norwich had on Sunday lost to Wolves at the Molineux by 3-0 from a Diogo Jota’s brace and a Raul Jimenez strike.
