Jean Michael Seri says Fulham must build on their improved second-half showing against Watford when they meet Millwall in the Carabao Cup.
The Cottagers got off to a nightmare start on Saturday when Andre Gray put the Hornets ahead after just 90 seconds.
Fulham responded with an improved second half showing and Aleksandar Mitrovic ensured they gained a point with a leveller 12 minutes from the end.
Slavisa Jokanovic’s side return to action on Tuesday evening when they travel across London to face the Lions at The Den. Midfielder Seri wants to see more improvement, with a good start key.
“The boss saw it early, which was good for us,” Seri said of the poor first-half display against Watford.
“The changes happened and you could see we were better in the second half. We have to look at the second half and try and take that into the next game.
“That was a positive for us and we have to continue like this.”
Seri joined from Nice in the summer and while Jokanovic is likely to make plenty change for the Millwall game, the Ivory Coast international suggests it is important to try and build some momentum.
“Every game we play, we play to win. But if we can’t win, then we have to make sure we don’t lose,” added Seri.
Fulham are 2.05 favourites to win at Millwall. The home side are 3.50 to prevail while the draw is 3.60.
