Blackburn Rovers coach Tony Mowbray has urged his players to end the campaign on a high as they try to win the League One title.

Mowbray’s men booked their place in the top two on Tuesday as they beat Doncaster Rovers to ensure they will be playing in the Championship again next season.

The form of Bradley Dack has helped them push on and Mowbray insists the campaign is not over just yet.

Wigan currently top the League One table by one point and Rovers still have the chance to catch them if they slip up.

Mowbray’s men face Charlton and Oxford United in their final two games and the former Middlesbrough coach has urged his team to put the icing on the cake.

He told iFollow Rovers: “We’ll have the team ready to win those next two games. We have players who care, who fight and work really hard.

“Huge credit to the players who have the desire not to lose and it’s been a bit like an army going into battle this season.

We’ve had a fantastic run and we’ll try to finish the campaign strongly.

“The players have to focus and make sure the game doesn’t become a damp squib against a good side, who have had a bit of a resurgence under Lee Bowyer and have won five out of their last seven or eight games.”

Wigan remain the 1.14 favourites to win the League One title while Rovers can be backed at odds of 5.00.
