Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has demanded an improvement from his side following their 3-3 draw with Legia Warsaw in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The reigning European champions appeared to be in for a comfortable evening at the Polish Army Stadium when Bale scored a marvellous long-range volley after just 57 seconds to give them the lead.

Bale’s strike was the fastest goal Los Blancos have ever scored in the Champions League and they were soon 2-0 up when the Welshman set up Karim Benzema to score after 35 minutes.

Legia, who came into the match without a point in this season’s competition, battled back however, and with seven minutes remaining they had moved into an astonishing 3-2 lead.

Mateo Kovacic saved Real’s blushes by firing home an equaliser with five minutes to play, but after the match Bale admitted that his side must avoid similar slip-ups in the future.

“We’re not happy with the result, we need to learn from this and bounce back stronger,” Bale told beIN Sports.

“We had control of game at 2-0 and we just lost concentration. At this level if it happens you get punished.”

Zinedine Zidane’s men can secure their passage into the knockout stages if they pick up a point in their next European match against Sporting Lisbon at the Estadio Jose Alvalade on November 22.

Los Blancos are available at 2.15 to finish top of their Champions League group, while they are priced at 6.50 to successfully defend their European crown.
