Marco Reus is a German professional footballer who is currently with the German National Football Team and also plays for club side Borussia Dortmund as an attacking midfielder.

The 30-year old talented midfielder was born on the 3rd of May 1989. He started his early football career in 1994 with local club Pos SV Dortmund. He then proceeds to begin his professional footballing career with Rot Weins Allen in 2006, which he played for three years till 2009, scoring five goals in 44 appearances. After which he joined Borussia Monchengladbach in 2009 and also scoring 37 goals in 99 appearances. He left Gladbach in 2012 for Borussia Dortmund, where he signed a five-year deal for about 17.1m euros.

His performances earned him an international call up to play his first match for the German U-21 team on August 2011,2009. He later made his international debut with the German national team in 2011, which his brilliant performances earned him the footballer of the year honor in 2012. During the 2013/2014 season, he won the award of player of the year for Borussia Dortmund and was also named the fourth-best footballer in Europe by Bloomberg in 2013.

Due to his consistently good performances, Marco Reus has been awarded several honors in his career. The player is currently sidelined with an injury. He has been instrumental for his club so far, playing a vital part in the team performances. His Chemistry with the likes of England’s Jadon Sancho, Paco Alcaecer, is excellent.
