Andre Schurrle will not be leaving for Cologne in January, according to the player’s agent.

Schurrle is yet to feature in the Bundesliga this season due to a thigh injury but he did make a return in the midweek cup win at Magdeburg, as he entered the action of the 5-0 DFB Pokal success as a second-half substitute.

BVB have made an impressive start to the season and top the Bundesliga table going into the latest round of fixtures as they lead Bayern Munich by virtue of a superior goal difference.

Dortmund’s impressive form and the attacking options available to head coach Peter Bosz has led to talk Schurrle could be allowed to leave in January.

It has been suggested struggling Cologne are keen on the forward and Schurrle himself may want to leave in order to battle for a spot in Germany’s World Cup squad, but agent Ingo Haspel has denied those rumours.

“There is no offer for a loan from Cologne,” he told RevierSport. “This story belongs to the realms of fables.”

BVB head to Hannover on Saturday and they are 1.53 to secure a win. Dortmund are 8.50 to win 2-1 and Maximilian Philipp is 6.00 to score the first goal of the game.

Hannover are 6.00 to pick up all three points and a draw can be backed at 4.33.
