Southampton forward Manolo Gabbiadini says his side will not take Brighton for granted when the two clash on Sunday.
Saints head to Brighton for a south-coast derby this weekend and Gabbiadini is in confident mood, but he remains wary of Albion regardless.
Brighton secured promotion from the Championship last season but Italian attacker Gabbiadini says every team in the Premier League deserves respect.
“In the Premier League it doesn’t matter who you play,” he told reporters.
“You could have been in the Premier League for 20 years or you could be newly-promoted.”
“But whoever you come up against you need to play with your heart and you need to play with your head.”
“Both myself and team are in good form at the moment, we’re feeling ready and are just focused on getting three points on Sunday,” he added.
Southampton have a virtually fully-fit squad to select from for the trip to the Amex Stadium and they are 2.40 to claim all three points.
Brighton head into the game unbeaten in their last four home games in all competitions and they have only lost once on home soil this season, against league leaders Manchester City.
The Seagulls, who remain without injured midfielder Steve Sidwell, can be backed at 3.20 to claim a win and a draw is available at 3.10.
