Ex Bayern Munich and Croatian forward Ivica Olic have given his thoughts on the transfer situation surrounding the club [Bayern], and on-loan forward Ivan Perisic saying an agreement will be made with inter Milan over his permanent transfer soon.

Olic revealed in an interview that Perisic’s dip in form was due to the injury he sustained, which saw him spent time on the sideline for three months but now back in regular training. “Perisic will need more time to attain the level he once was before his injury, and the most important thing is that he is back in training.”

“The club is excited with his services so far and will hope to get him for a lower price due to the pandemic spread, which has lowered the purchasing power of clubs across Europe. So hopefully the club can try and discuss with his parent club [Inter] to reach an agreement.”

Ivan Perisic joined the Bavarians from Italian side Inter Milan on loan with an option to buy for €20m. Olic has now given his support to his countryman, saying he has the backing of the club and hopes a discounted deal could be agreed between Inter and Bayern to make the deal permanent in the coming weeks.

The 31-year old time so far on loan at Bayern has yielded a total of five goals and eight assists in all competitions. If Perisic could get a permanent deal at the Allianz Arena, he could rediscover his best form under manager Hansi Flick and be a good squad player.
