Barcelona forward Pedro claims he has offers on the table to join other clubs and has revealed the release clause in his contract has been lowered from 150million euro to facilitate a move.

The future of the Spain international looked to have been sorted when he put pen to paper on a new deal before the Champions League final, committing himself to the Spanish champions until 2019.

However, speculation concerning the 27-year-old’s future has resurfaced after Barca signed Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan, pushing Pedro further down the pecking order.

Pedro managed to start just 25 of Barcelona’s 60 games last season and is unlikely to get anymore game time next term given the form of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

As a result, Pedro says he is considering options and could decide to leave the Nou Camp after a decade with the club.
“It’s true there are offers and it’s a difficult situation for me at Barcelona,” Pedro told Spanish sports newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.

“You want to have minutes but there are less opportunities every year and each time it’s more difficult.
“I would have liked to have retired here….. we will see what happens.”

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been strongly linked with Pedro but it would appear Chelsea are now leading the race for his signature.

The Blues could look to activate Pedro’s new release clause, believed to be set at £21million, after it was lowered from 150million euro.

Pedro says he intends to discuss his future with Barcelona this week and has not ruled out continuing his career elsewhere.

“Over the next few days we will speak and look to see what the best option is,” he added.

“I have won many titles and that fills me with pride and satisfaction, but you always have the ambition to continue to improve and play.”

Barcelona are 1.67 to retain their La Liga title this season, while rivals Real Madrid are 2.40 to wrestle the Spanish crown away from them.
