Atletico Madrid skipper Gabi has warned Barcelona that the La Liga leaders are full of confidence and energy ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg.

Diego Simeone has made few changes to his side throughout this incredible season for the Rojiblancos as they fight to win the domestic and European title, but Gabi denies that the Atleti squad are feeling tired.

“This is best time of our lives,” Gabi told reporters on Tuesday. “We are not tired. We want to compete at our best level, to give our best.

“The key to the match will be remaining concentrated throughout the 90 minutes. It’s not easy to stop players like them.

Diego?s stunning strike gave Simeone’s side the lead at the Nou Camp last Tuesday, but Neymar’s equaliser ensured that the tie is finely poised at 1-1 going into the return leg.

Atletico have played Barcelona four times this season, drawing each time, but midfielder Gabi insists that the Rojiblancos will give their best at the Vicente Calderon.

“We are looking to be as concentrated as possible,” he added. “Our minds are not focused on drawing this game. We haven’t even thought about [a penalty shootout].”

“The fans will be very important for us tomorrow. It’s going to be an important match for the club’s history and we want our fans to enjoy it.”

Atletico are 3.06 to win on Wednesday in the 1X2 market with former holders Barcelona the 2.33 favourites to win and the draw available at 3.18.
