Antoine Griezmann insists he is fully focused on helping Atletico Madrid continue to prosper.

The Frenchman has been the club’s standout player since joining from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2014 and was again on hand on Sunday as he netted the only goal in their 1-0 win over Deportivo la Coruna.

Despite Atleti’s stature, he has regularly been linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderon, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all being suggested as potential suitors.

These are exciting times for Los Colchoneros, with them set to leave the Calderon for the recently renovated La Peineta stadium at the end of the current campaign.

Much like Greizmann, boss Diego Simeone has been tipped to depart on a number of occasions and recently confirmed he had reduced his contract by two years until the summer of 2018.

The playmaker admits he is still developing at Atleti and is enjoying learning under Simeone. At 25, he says his main goal is to continue starring in the Spanish capital and believes having the charismatic boss around is the key to both his and the club’s chances of success.

“I am very good at Atleti, with my team-mates, I see that we can achieve important things,” Griezmann told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.

“With Simeone I am learning so much. Right now, I do not think about anything other than Atleti. The aim is to continue with Atleti and to see the new stadium.”

Atletico continue their Champions League campaign on Wednesday when they welcome Bayern Munich to Madrid. Los Colchoneros are 3.00 to win, with the draw 3.10 and Bayern priced at 2.50.
