Ajax boss Frank de Boer insists he is happy with life at the Dutch club but he is willing to speak to Tottenham if the Premier League club want to meet.

De Boer has recently been linked with a move to White Hart Lane after helping Ajax to their 33rd Eredivisie title, ahead of Feyenoord and FC Twente.

Earlier this week, Ajax claimed they had received an enquiry from Spurs to speak to the former Barcelona defender, something which the Premier League club denied.

Current boss Tim Sherwood is expected to leave the club at the end of the season despite guiding his side into the Europa League places. He replaced Andre Villas Boas earlier this term but De Boer but be set to succeed him as he gets set for talks.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has also been linked to the job, but De Boer has confirmed he is willing to talk to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

Speaking after his side’s 2-2 draw against NEC Nijmegen, he told Sky
Sports: “I’m not thinking about the future right now.

“I have no intention to leave the club. When Tottenham Hotspur maybe will come, I will talk – not only Tottenham maybe other clubs who I think I am interested in, I will listen.

“I am very happy here. On June 23 we start again our preparation. That is what I am thinking about, first I have to get a signal from other clubs and then I will see.”
