Current Serie A champions AC Milan have revived their interest in Reim’s attacker Folarin Balogun.

Reports have it that Diavolo are set to renew their interest in the Arsenal striker, who is on loan with the Ligue 1 club.

Having moved up through the academy ranks at Arsenal, the 21-year-old has sparked to life in France as he currently leads the goals chart.

He had made ten appearances for the Gunners, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Balogun has enjoyed a successful season, scoring 15 goals in 22 league appearances as part of exposure intended for him at the top level.

He is now a central talk in Ligue 1, having registered more league goals than the likes of Paris Saint-Germain trio Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Lionel Messi.

Besides his goalscoring prowess, Balogun’s performances have helped his side to be on a 15-game unbeaten run in the league.
This made Reim’s boss Will Still, keen on making his loan move permanent in January, but Arsenal is unwilling to sell.
Balogun had to be loaned as his playing time is expected to be limited. He is behind the pecking order in the Arsenals attack behind Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

The Gunners forward could attract further interest in Balogun during the summer with his present form.
Daily Mail reports that AC Milan are set to renew their attempts to sign England Under 21 international after previously being linked with a move in 2021.

They will want a quality replacement for Olivier Giroud, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has only recently recovered from a long-term injury, are out of contract at the end of the season. And as it stands, new deals have yet to be agreed upon.
Although Milan also have Divock Origi on their books after signing him on a free transfer from Liverpool last summer, the Belgian has struggled to hit the ground running, scoring just two goals in 15 appearances.

Their current forward situation gave them no choice but to strengthen in the final third, and Balogun appears to have been identified as a potential option.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are just some of the sides interested in him. Others interested include Marseille and Villarreal.
Since his current deal with the Gunners will elapse in June 2025, they have ample time to monitor him further and present a new deal.

They must decide whether to cash in on him during the summer transfer window.

Balogun will have another opportunity to impress Mikel Arteta, who is still determining his future in the team, when Reims travels to the French Riviera to face Nice on Saturday.
