La Liga has been the bride of Europe in the last few seasons with the Ballon d’Or being won by players from the league. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi had won it five times each before Luka Modric claimed last year.  Spain has been the home of some of the top players in the world. As the new La Liga season begins, we look at some of the talented youngsters that would hit the ground running.

  1. Frenkie de Jong

The 22-year-old Dutch earned his reputation as one of the talented players after he helped Ajax to reach the semi-final of the Champions League last season. He won the award as the Midfielder of the Season for 2018/2019 season UEFA Champions League. He signed for Barcelona earlier this summer. With his talents, he is expected to light up the Spanish League.

  1. Joao Felix

The Portuguese is a complete talent, which could be the reason why Atletico Madrid was eager to part with £113 million for the wonder kid. He was signed as a replacement for Antoine Grizemann. He is already being dubbed as the new Cristiano Ronaldo, but he could eclipse the former Real Madrid hitman. The teenage sensation could make a huge impact for Diego Simeone’s team.

  1. Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior was in a fantastic form for Real Madrid last season. The 19-year-old Brazilian is an exceptional talent who will perform well if given the opportunity to. However, the arrival of Eden Hazard could make it difficult for him to command a regular place in the first team. It is obvious Zinedine Zidane will prefer to play Hazard in the left-wing.

  1. Luka Jovic

Signed from Eintracht Frankfurt, Luka Jovic is ready to replicate his impressive form in the La Liga this season. He was hot for Frankfurt last season where he found the back of the net 17 times in 32 appearances. The 21-year-old is a prolific striker that could cause defenders in headaches. He joined Real Madrid this summer in a €60 million transfer deal.

  1. Goncalo Guedes

Already in his third season, Guedes has the potentials to become one of the most sought-after. He plays as a winger or a second striker for Valencia and has ten goals to his name. The 22-year-old was instrumental to Valencia’s fourth-place finish in La Liga and last four in the Europa League last season.
