Sheffield’s Kell Brook has urged British rival Amir Khan to stop talking and just sign a contract to ensure they can fight in 2017.

Both fighters have been linked with an all-British showdown for the last five years but Khan claimed Brook needed to do more to fight him.

The IBF welterweight champion did just that in September as he stepped up to middleweight to take on Gennady Golovkin.

He saw his stock rise dramatically after a brave display but Brook was eventually beaten after being pulled from the fight after fracturing his right eye socket.

Last month Khan admitted that any clash would only happen at welterweight and Brook has now asked the Bolton fighter to stop talking and agree a fight as soon as possible.

He told Sky Sports News HQ: “With got some big names, Amir Khandashian, he’s still there.

“People are talking about us fighting, he’s said he wants to have that fight and like I have said, I’ll meet him at welterweight if he actually wants to get in and stop talking about it.

“We need to sit down, get it signed and get it done for the fans. Manny Pacquiao, Danny Garcia and Keith Thurman are fighting and I am top of that pile, I am looking forward to getting a top fight made.”

Brook also has other huge fights on the horizon with mandatory challenger Errol Spence still unbeaten.

Newly-crowned WBO champion Manny Pacquiao is also an option, while Floyd Mayweather Jnr is still being linked with a comeback after retiring following his comfortable win over Andre Berto.
