It is well known that many Basketball players were inspired to take up the sport after taking inspiration from Michael Jordan. MJ is well known for revolutionizing the sport and has played a key role in popularizing the game. Similarly, LeBron James revealed that he won’t have achieved what he has achieved in his glorious career if wouldn’t have been inspired by Michael Jordan.

James scored the match-winning basket for Team James as he took his team to a 163-160 win over Team Durant in the All-Star game on Sunday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. James said he couldn’t have dreamt of this moment and stated that the winning shot was inspired by Michael Jordan.

“I did not want to lose out on the opportunity to shake the man’s hand that inspired me throughout my childhood. Haven’t had much dialog with him in my 20 years-19 years in this business. But part of me wouldn’t be here without MJ’s inspiration. I always wanted to be like him growing up.”

“It’s crazy that the game-winning shot tonight was a fadeaway and it was inspired by MJ. The way he wore his shoes, the way he wore his uniform, all the way down to some of the cars that he drove, how much he inspired me. I didn’t want to waste that opportunity because we’re not in the same building a lot and haven’t been in the same building a lot throughout and it meant something to me.”

Meanwhile, LeBron James scored 24 points, eight rebounds, and six assists for his team as he came up with a fine performance.

On the other hand, Stephen Curry was the star performer for Team James as he registered 50 points. Furthermore, Chef pocketed 16 threes and broke a plethora of records. Ergo, Curry was awarded the ASG MVP for his fine show on the night. Curry shot in a video-game mode and it was a brilliant performance from him.
