Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas praised club’s new training centre as a factor in their resurgence.

In fact, he said on Monday that his team’s continuing desire to improve on and off the pitch is a great example to the rest of the Premier League.

Last September, Tottenham unveiled a new multi-million pound training facility to further improve the squad’s development, with a long-awaited move a new stadium still in the pipeline.

Tottenham has either surpassed or mirrored their best-ever Premier League finish five times in the last seven seasons – ending up fourth twice in the last three seasons.

Because of this, the Portuguese mentor stated that the Spurs’ continuing determination to better itself must be commended.

“The growth is continuing and I know that the owner and chairman are very driven in achieving the club’s aim of building a new stadium,” Villas-Boas said.

He added: “I think that this wonderful training ground allows the players to further flourish and develop their game. It also allows us to attract better players; it’s a great environment and a great example to the Premier League.”

The north London outfit are currently unbeaten in their last five league matches but face a battle with London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
