The Frenchman has been out of action for one month after sustaining a hamstring injury in last month’s La Liga opener against Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembélé has returned to training after being sidelined by a hamstring injury. The forward returned to training on Thursday. The forward last played for the Spanish champions in last month’s La Liga opener against Athletic Bilbao.

The forward has been eager to return to action but Barcelona will take it slowly with the forward. Dembélé has previously been linked with a move away from the Spanish side amidst rumors of the return of Brazilian star Neymar to the club. Dembele rejected all offers to price him away from the Blaguarana saying he wants to succeed with the Spanish champions.

Barcelona is set to play Granada on Saturday but the game will come so early for Dembélé, and could return to action next week against Villarreal and Getafe. Ernesto Valverde’s lads are placed fifth on the Spanish La Liga log after winning just two games and will hope to return to winning ways when they face Granada.

Defender Jordi Alba has been ruled out of the tie after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Spanish club’s UEFA Champions League tie against German side Borussia Dortmund.

Ernesto Valverde will surely be happy with the return of club talisman Lionel Messi after the forward played his first minutes of the season against German side Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday’s Champions League tie. Bissau-Guinean forward Ansu Fati has been the beneficiary of the Barcelona injury crisis as the forward has posted impressive performances on the field of play.

Ousmane Dembélé joined Barcelona from German side Borussia Dortmund on 25 August 2017. The Frenchman made his debut on 9th of September 2017 in a 5-0 win over Espanyol at Camp Nou. The forward is a member of the French National team and made his debut on 1st September 2016 against Italy and scored his first France goal in a 3-2 win over England.

FC Barcelona are placed at 1.34 to claim a victory over Granada in their next La Liga fixture, while Granada are backed at 9.26.
