La Liga defending Champions and current League leaders, Fc Barcelona will on Saturday welcome Deportivo Alaves to the Camp Nou after Wednesday’s uneventful draw in the El Clasico against Real Madrid.

The Derby which was initially postponed due to political unrests was also overshadowed by the political instability as the game ended without a winner and thus leaving the table unchanged as Barcelona remained atop on goal difference better than the Los Blancos.

However, Ernesto Valverde’s men will have the chance to maintain their top spot when fourteenth placed Alaves visit Camp Nou, Alaves are winless in their last three-game after drawing Leganes, lost to Granada and also lost to Real Madrid.

In 17 games, the away team has won five, drew four and lost eight scoring eighteen and conceding twenty-four in the process. Their away form is a source of joy for Barcelona as Deportivo Alaves has not won their last eleven away games in the La Liga.

Also, Barcelona has won its last five games against Alaves in the La Liga, a win this time around will make it a sixth consecutive victory over Alaves who have not beaten Barcelona since September 2016 and the Blaugrana side has managed to score at least three goals in each of the last five games against Alaves while they have kept a clean sheet in four of their last five.

Furthermore, Barcelona’s League form has been impressive as they have won eleven, drawn three and lost three times in seventeen games although two of the three draws came in their last five games against Real Sociedad and Madrid. Barcelona have scored forty goals and conceded twenty while Lionel Messi sits second on the La Liga top scorers chart with twelve goals same as Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and three more than teammate Luis Suarez who is third.

Barcelona are fancied at 1.16 to defeat Alaves, while Alaves are available at 18.61 to shock Barca.
