Andy Murray is pleased with his form heading to Wimbledon after winning his fourth Queen’s Club title.

The number one seed had to win the tournament the hard way though, having to finish his semi-final against Viktor Troicki on Sunday before beating Kevin Anderson 6-3 6-4 in the final a couple of hours later.

Murray’s semi-final match against Troicki had been suspended due to rain on Saturday, but he wasted little time seeing off the 29-year-old Serbian on Sunday morning 6-3 7-6.

The Scot joins John McEnroe, Boris Becker, Lleyton Hewitt and Andy Roddick in winning at Queen’s on four occasions following his previous successes in 2009, 2011 and 2013.

The 28-year-old claimed his third Queen’s victory en route to winning Wimbledon two years ago.

“I served extremely well,” said Murray. “I felt like once I got into the rallies I was doing really well, but it was obviously tough to do that some of the times.

“He served an extremely high percentage of first serves and was serving big. But it was a good performance.”

Murray enjoyed a fine week, beating Yen-Hsun Lu, Fernando Verdasco and Gilles Muller before Sunday’s successes against Troicki and Anderson.

World number three Murray is 3.75 to win his second Wimbledon title following his triumph at SW19 two years ago, while the man he beat in the 2013 final, Novak Djokovic, can be backed at 2.25.

“I played better as the week went on. I came up with some great shots and I had to play that way if I wanted to win,” Murray added.
