Usain Bolt has arrived in Rio de Janeiro for this summer’s Olympic Games, as he aims to claim an unprecedented triple-triple of gold medals.

The Jamaican sprinter was victorious in the 100m, the 200m and the sprint relay at the London Games four years ago and in Beijing in 2008, and now he will be looking to repeat those superb feats in Brazil.

The 29-year-old’s preparations for the Games have been far from ideal, as he was forced to miss the Jamaican Olympic trials in June due to a muscle tear in his hamstring, but he returned to action with victory in the 200m at last week’s Anniversary Games in London.

Bolt is now looking forward to impressing in Rio, and he believes the sport needs him to claim more Olympic glory, as the build up to the Games has been dominated by drug scandals.

He said: “I know the sport needs me to win and come out on top.” The Jamaican is the current world record holder in the 100m and 200m and, despite his list of accolades, he remains unsure if he can successfully defend his titles in Rio.

He added: “I always have little doubts in my mind. But I’m focused and ready to go.” Bolt is available at 1.61 to claim gold in the 100m next month, while he is priced at 1.44 to secure 200m glory at the Games.
