For those who can’t still move on from Woodley-Lawler fight and wish a week off UFC actions, you can’t miss another huge event this 6th day of August.

Yes and Salt Lake City is the next stop as two of the dauntless featherweight fighters Yair Rodriguez and Alex Caceres square up for UFC Fight Night 92.

If you’ve watched The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck back in the 2010, you will surely recognize Alex Caceres who was at that time known by his nickname “Bruce Leeroy”, a moniker that was somehow associated with the eminent Bruce Lee.

Caceres holds a record of 12-8 and fresh off from a victory against Cole Miller last June.

On the other side of the cage will be Yair Rodriguez, a rising fighter in the featherweight division and who holds a record of 8-1.

At first the bought doesn’t appear impressive but could this be the chance for Yair Rodriguez to step up against Caceres?

Rodriguez came from a 4-winning streak – a huge comeback after he lost the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 14 in the hands of Diego Brando.

If the fight goes well, this could be a stepping stone to another outing probably to Sioux Falls, SD.

However despite of the lack in star power, UFC set the date on Saturday to avoid what have had happened in 2010 where the decision was moved to San Diego due to the lack of ticket sales.

Alex Caceres is 3.30 to win while Yair Rodriguez is favored to win at 1.33 (odds by Dafabet). Rodriguez is younger and is not doubt more aggressive inside the cage.

He has a perfect blend of mixed martial arts talent and has the ability to take the opponent down as seen in his previous fight with Andre Fili via 2nd round knockout courtesy of his kick with the head.

More than just the power, he lands with accuracy with feet in wider variety of attacks.

On the other hand, Caceres was seen struggling in his 3 consecutive fights. However, he played strong against Damacio Page, Legacy Fighting Championship title holder and Sergio Pettis from Roufusport. Despite of the average power, Caceres has the ability to play well on the ground.

A literally grown of int eh Octagon, he has developed a legit striking power and can either knock or submit opponent.
UFC Fight Night 92 comes with more fights.

The co-main event of the evening sets between Rony Jason and the veteran Dennis Bermudez. What your thoughts about the article? Share it with us via comment section. Check out other UFC Fight Night 92 cards below.
