Trainer Hugo Palmer is confident Unforgetable Filly will relish the conditions at Newmarket during Friday’s Listed Muhaarar British EBF Rosemary Stakes.

The four-year-old has impressed on occasions this season, especially in her last contest.

The bay filly cruised to an eight-length win at Haydock in August over eight furlongs and Palmer believes Friday’s contest will give his charge another chance to impress.

He told the Racing Post: “I ran her on soft ground twice at the end of last year – once at Doncaster, which was avoidable, and once when the heavens opened in Keeneland – and I think she lost a lot of confidence.

“I’m delighted to say there isn’t a cloud in the sky at Newmarket and hopefully she’ll get the rattling quick ground that she needs. I think she’s improved for the fitting of blinkers and she’s run well at Newmarket before.”

Unforgetable Filly is priced at 3.50 to win and her main rival is three-year-old Agrotera.

She bounced back from a disappointing effort behind Unforgetable Filly when coming second to Poetic Charm under a fine ride from Jamie Spencer at Longchamp last time.

Speaking about her chances, trainer Ed Walker said: “It was a good step back in the right direction after the flop at Haydock and she proved her versatility, having come from last in the Sandringham.

“We’ve got a lot of ground to make up with Unforgetable Filly but we wouldn’t be here if we didn’t believe we could.”

Agrotera is 4.00 to win, while Laugh Aloud is expected to also go close at odds of 4.33.
