Bryan Cooper is yet to decide which horse he will partner in the showpiece Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival and is in no rush to make a call.

As the Gigginstown retained jockey he has an enviable, yet extremely tough, choice, with Don Cossack, Don Poli and Road To Riches all options.

Don Cossack is the 5.00 joint favourite along with Vautour, while Don Poli and Road To Riches are 7.00 and 17.00 respectively.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup takes place on Friday, March 18 and Cooper claims he may hold off on his decision until a couple of days before the big race.

“I think everyone seems to know more than I do,” Cooper told Racing UK. “I won’t know until the Wednesday morning when I make my mind up then.

“There’s no pressure on me, no rush, and a lot can go wrong between here and there, and there is plenty of work to be done.”

Cooper linked up with Road To Riches in the Cheltenham feature last year and came in third. He then selected the same horse for the Punchestown Gold Cup but lost out to Don Cossack, and as such he is not expected to have a second crack at the Festival’s main event on Road To Riches this year, although that does remain an option.

Djakadam and Cue Card are also heavily fancied for the Cheltenham Gold Cup and they are 6.50 and 7.00 respectively to secure the win.
