Marussia driver Max Chilton insists he is feeling positive as he prepares for the second half of his debut season when Formula 1 returns in Belgium this weekend.
Chilton heads to Belgium’s legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit looking to try and continue a productive opening 10 races.
The 22-year-old has been working hard during the four week summer break to ensure that there is no drop in form and he can continue to complete races.
The highlight of the Brits debut campaign so far came when he finished in fourteenth place at the Grand Prix in Monaco.
The rookie currently sits rock bottom of the Drivers’ Championship and has set himself the goal of trying to finish ahead of team mate Jules Bianchi for the first time this term at Spa.
Chilton said: ?I can?t wait for Spa this weekend. The break has been a good opportunity to think about the first half of the season but it will be good to be back in the car again.
“I’m feeling very positive about what we need to do in the remaining nine races and I’m ready for the challenge.
“Having raced at Spa a few times now, I’m looking forward to my first experience of driving a Formula 1 car at what is a very special circuit.”
