Arsene Wenger watched his Arsenal side go to the top of the Premier League courtesy of a 2-1 win against Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and then said it has been a “perfect week”.
The Gunners returned from the international break and followed up their 3-0 home win against Manchester United on October 4 with a repeat scoreline at Watford last Saturday.
The north Londoners then bounced back from disappointing Champions League group defeats against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos by defeating in-form German giants Bayern Munich 2-0 at the Emirates on Tuesday.
And quick-fire headed goals from Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny put them two up against Everton in the first half of their home Premier League clash on Saturday evening.
Ross Barkley pulled one back with a deflected effort just before half-time, but Arsenal held on to claim a fourth straight win in all competitions.
Wenger said: “It is a perfect week and it is not easy to have that.
“I believe that we will keep that solidarity, that desire to do well, and I think we are well focused to do well and together we have improved on that front and we know that when we have the ball we can create goal chances.
“We went to Watford and won 3-0 and beat Bayern Munich 2-0 and beat Everton in one week, it has been a fantastic week. It is not easy.”
Arsenal are 2.88 to win the Premier League title this season.
