Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists his side are growing in confidence following their 4-1 win over Hull City at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners, 13.00 to win the title, secured their third straight Premier League win to move up to third in the league table.
Wenger’s men have recovered from a shaky start to the campaign, following their defeat to Liverpool and draw at Leicester.
The French coach has once again been criticised for his style of management in the last few weeks but his team silenced their critics with a resounding win in East Yorkshire.
Two goals from Alexis Sanchez and strikes from Theo Walcott and Granit Xhaka proved the difference, although Hull did grab a consolation goal through Robert Snodgrass.
Saturday’s win followed a solid 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League and Wenger has now claimed his side are starting to find their feet.
He told Sky Sports: “I was very happy with the performance. We started the game very well, after a very difficult game away at Paris St-Germain, to play away again and win you are always happy.
“We are a bit more mature. But it’s early in the season. Let’s just continue to improve and win our games and see where that will go.
We are ambitious and have a good attitude and spirit. We have gained a bit of confidence from winning a few games. “We responded well to our first disappointment and hopefully we can build from that.”
