Stoke boss Mark Hughes feels summer signing Bojan Krkic can become one of the club’s all-time greats.

Bojan has made just 17 appearances for the Potters since joining from Barcelona in the summer, but Hughes is convinced the 24-year-old can become a Stoke legend.

He told the Sentinel: “When you make your mark and affect people by what you do, and achieve things they haven’t done before, then you are remembered.

“There’s a lot of players who will be rich young men, but make no mark in the game.”

Bojan has managed four goals in 16 Premier League appearances to date for Hughes’ side, including the only goal of the game in Stoke’s win at Leicester last time out.

The forward’s other goals have all been vital as well, with Bojan having scored in games against Spurs, Arsenal and Everton – with Stoke winning all three by one-goal margins.

The Potters travel to Rochdale for an FA Cup fourth round tie on Monday evening and host strugglers QPR in the Premier League next weekend.

Stoke, who are currently 10th in the table, are 1.65 to win at Rochdale on Monday or 2.20 with a -1 handicap.

It remains to be seen as to whether Bojan will be involved on Monday as Hughes may decide to rest a few first-team regulars when they travel to the League One side.
