Veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech feels Arsenal have the strength and depth in their squad to compete on multiple fronts this season.

The Gunners currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table but are only two points behind early leaders Liverpool.

Arsenal are also through to the Champions League knockout stages with two games to spare, as they top the Group A table ahead of Paris Saint-Germain on goal difference with 10 points from four games.

Cech believes his side were unlucky with injuries last season and says if they can avoid similar problems this term, they have a squad more than capable of claiming some silverware.

“When we were unlucky with long-term injuries last season, we had to use the same players in so many games and you lack energy in certain parts of the season,” Cech told the Arsenal website. “We dropped points because we couldn’t rotate.

“This season we have strength in depth, you could see in the Champions League and domestic cup [games] and for the Premier League we keep using different players, or can use the same players.

“The manager has this choice and I think we are benefitting so far. Everybody looks fit and ready to go game-by-game.”

The former Chelsea star added: “I think we are as strong as anybody else in the league. The league is very competitive but I think we are one of the teams who has all the qualities to compete for the title and we know that.”

Arsenal are 2.70 to win their next Premier League game, at Manchester United after the international break, and are 6.50 to win the title.
