Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is confident the club can shake off their bad run of results and finish in the top four this season.
Ronald Koeman’s side have failed to win their last three Premier Leagues games, with their last success coming against Queens Park Rangers on February 7.
The Saints were held to a 0-0 draw by West Ham, before a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool was followed by Saturday’s 1-0 loss to West Brom at the Hawthorns.
Southampton’s recent results have seen them fall out of the qualification spots for next season’s Champions League as they now sit sixth in the table.
Koeman’s side are are now four points behind Manchester United who lie in fourth, but Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal are all piling on the pressure with just a few months to go until the end of the season.
Schneiderlin has been in and out of the first team due to injuries in recent weeks but the 25-year-old insists he is now fit and ready to help the team climb the table.
He told BBC Radio Solent: “We still want to finish as high as possible – which means the top four. We still have the capacity to do it.
“There’s a lot of expectation, after we beat Manchester United , that we could finish in the top four but we are not giving up on this.
“We have been in the top five since August – so why not?”
The Frenchman is expected to be part of the Saints’ squad to face Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.
Koeman’s men are priced at 1.70 to win with Dafabet, while the draw is 3.61, with Palace available at 5.41.
