Barcelona’s Alex Song is adamant there is no chance his Blaugrana team-mate Cesc Fabregas will be leaving Camp Nou this summer for any other club.

Former Arsenal skipper Fabregas has been linked with a return to the north London outfit but even more strongly to their Premier League rivals Manchester United, who have tabled two bids for the attacking playmaker.

United are still believed to be waiting on a response from the Blaugrana for the second bid, which is thought to be in the region of £35m.

Having re-joined his beloved boyhood club in 2011, after eight years making his name with the Gunners in the Premier League, Fabregas has been in and out of the Barca starting XI.

However the 26-year-old has always maintained he is willing to fight for his place with the Catalans giants and Song, who played alongside Fabregas at Arsenal, cannot see the Spanish international leaving the Camp Nou before the end of the transfer deadline.

He said: “He loves Barcelona, he loves the club. He will stay here next season and give 100 per cent because I know him very well and he’ll want to fight. He’s focused on the club.

“He wants just to give his best for Barcelona. He’s from Barcelona, he loves Barcelona and he’ll want to start the season to show what he can do.

“It’s my own opinion but I know he will stay here, 100 percent.”
