Paris Saint-Germain defender, Sergio Ramos could make his debut for the French giant this Friday, against Angers as Ligue 1 action resumes after the international break.

Ramos had been on the sideline due to an injury he has been nursing, which also forced him out of the Euro 2020 tournament.

According to Le Parisien, the Spanish defender Sergio Ramos, who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain on a free over the summer is in line for his debut.

This means the former Real Madrid defender could o appear in the matchday squad.

Meanwhile, PSG could be without its various South American internationals which include Lionel Messi, Neymar, Angel Di María, Marquinhos, Paredes, Keylor Navas. This is because all of them will be in action for their respective countries in the early hours of that same day.

This is why many players are complaining of the tight FIFA calendar schedule which tends to disrupt club football rythm.

This is expected to give the veteran defender an opportunity as the squad is already depleted. Mauricio Pochettino is expected to call on Ramos and Juan Bernat to come into his matchday squad as both have made progress on their return from injury.

It is hoped that the former Real Madrid man has gone past his calf issue since he arrived at the club.
PSG will be going into this tie on the back of a 2-0 defeat at Rennes in their last matchday. With a depleted squad, Mauricio Pochettino will have his hand full as he will; have to bank on players that are just resuming from international duties and injuries.

The Paris club will be hoping to return to winning ways against the team currently in the top four of the table.

PSG currently top the Ligue 1 table with 24 points.

They are followed by Lens with 18 points. OGC Nice and Angers complete the top four with 16 points each respectively.
